Pressbox, Concessions, Restrooms All-in-One Fabulous Building

This press box/concession stand in Plain City, Utah will be the envy of all ball fields nationwide. It’s a spacious two-story precast concrete building. The lower level has restrooms for park visitors and a generous concession area. Upstairs is wide open for officials. This design turned out so well, that already other parks are trying to get in on the action with a press box/concession stand of their own. Plain city’s Dan Schuler states he is very happy to have worked with us on this unique and functional design.

Producing Bigger and Better

At Mountain West Precast, you can find the flavor of pride unique to a small business. We may not be a large corporation, but we push to produce bigger and better products everyday. Our latest project, an Easi-Set concession stand and restroom, is proof of that. With a length of approximately 30 feet and a width of 24, it is our largest precast building to date. While it is great in size, we still give meticulous attention to the smallest details.

The Grove Athletic Complex of Milton-Freewater, Oregon, will be home to this impressive structure. It is composed of three separate sections, but upon assembly will be post-tensioned and grouted to create one smooth building. These separate sections will create gender-specific bathrooms and a roomy concession stand with all the electrical and plumbing included. Milton-Freewater added their individual taste and preference to the concession stand with their choices of colors and wall texture.

There are many benefits to purchasing an Easi-Set building versus comparable structures. Perhaps the greatest is the cost savings attributed to the lack of onsite labor and the fact that our building can be ready and waiting when you are.  Another advantage is the structural durability as opposed to the cinder block equivalent. Whatever the advantages for you, we are eager to expand our horizons in building your bigger and better vision.

The Union Bulletin, the local newspaper for the Milton-Freewater area, reviewed their new concession stand in their article Snack Shack Lands at Milton-Freewater Sports Complex.

Pole Base: Foundations for Future Success

As part of our continual push to expand our range of products, at Mountain West we recently produced Pole Base foundations for the new DoTerra distribution center in Pleasant Grove, Utah. Rydalch Electrical requested custom-built bases for outdoor light fixtures placed around the corporate campus. Each Pole Base foundation was poured with our DOT-grade concrete and like all our precast products, was manufactured in a controlled environment for optimum strength and durability.

Mountain West produced over one hundred Pole Base foundations for the DoTerra Distribution Center.

All in all, we produced 127 foundations for the job, with Rydalch Electrical continuing to utilize these on other porjects. This, in conjunction with our other innovative projects, shows our willingness to create new product suited to our customers’ needs.

West Point Park Restroom- Another Easi-Set Success

West Point City of Davis County, Utah, has recently been upgrading and reviving their local legacy, Loy Blake Park. We were proud to participate in the renovation of this park by building a customized Essex model, Easi-set restroom. West Point City was able to uniquely customize their restroom to suit the needs of visitors to the adjacent splash-pad.

We were able to provide the city with a variety of basic designs and layouts that they were able to adjust for their situation. The aesthetic choices of the restroom include shiplap siding, a hip-style cedar-shake roof and glass block windows with a hand-painted river rock texture at the base of the structure. Functionally, the restroom boasts four separate unisex bathrooms, which are convenient changing rooms for the splashpad. It also includes stainless steel fixtures and a drinking fountain on the outside.

This project not only highlighted our flexibility in styles and customizations, but also showed our confidence in onsite-assembly. With satisfied customers and a pride-worthy product, this is another one of our Easi-set successes.

Mountain West Precast Awarded Gold Producer Status

At Mountain West Precast, quality is our priority and excellence is our standard. Recently, our focus on smooth production and superior products was recognized by the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) when they awarded us with Gold Class Producer Status. This status is difficult to achieve and requires a rigorous quality control program.

In order to qualify for this award, UDOT tested our products, forms, and concrete, monitoring features like concrete strength throughout the year. UDOT also checked our certifications on our equipment and employees. Daily, they inspected our plant and graded our processes. Our plant averaged above 90% on both our quality control processes and concrete quality according to UDOT standards.

With this status comes confidence from UDOT, which provides us some flexibility with our products because of the thoroughness of our own inspections. UDOT has the highest level of trust in our processes. This, in addition to our NPCA certification, is a testament to the hard work put in by our outstanding employees. It is because of their hard work that we are able to deliver such superior results.

Spectacular Casper Wyoming Mountain Restroom

Casper’s most picturesque park is Rotary Park on Casper Mountain. Located just south of Casper, it is home to Garden Creek Falls and the Bridle Trail. Since the early 1940s, it’s been a favorite of residents and visitors alike.

The double occupancy, dry vault Easi-Set Carson model was done in brown tones and a precast concrete formed stone and barnboard finish to blend into the natural surroundings.
